STATEMENT & INFLUENCES
I strive to render plausibility in the implausible; a sense of detail and logic within even the most pulp of illustrated designs.
Detail remains a constant throughout my work, from line art and sketches to full-colour technical illustrations.
Inspirations include the following names, studios and properties:
Hergé (Tintin), Roger Leloup (Yoko Tsuno), Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), Akira Yamaguchi (Tokei: Hiroo & Ropongi), Kow Yokoyama (Maschinen Krieger ZbV 3000), Egon Schiele (Standing Male Nude with Red Loin Cloth), Yukinobu Hoshino (2001 Nights), Bruce McCall (Zany Afternoons), R.G. LeTourneau (Overland Train Mk3), Peter Elsen (The Outposter), Genki Games (Beltlogger 9), Yutaka Izubuchi (Patlabor), Takahiro Kawano (Lost Planet 2), Masaharu Takasaki (Kihoku Astronomical Observatory) +++
