Quick addendum. This popped up at the Heritage Archives down south, which probably explains the delay. They've a trove of advertisements in their collection from the Southern Star publishers before its merger. This was in their unpublished section, even though it was listed as having appeared in issue 207 of Island Mechanics. I didn't have a chance to see if it made it to print, but surely someone knows.
Might be worth looking into those companies, too.
